Forrest and the Preamble

Forrest has to learn the Preamble for school and after struggling for a few hours trying to memorize it Shannon started to sing the School House Rock version of the Preamble. I remembered that we had a copy of all the School House Rock videos on DVD and got it out for Forrest to watch and see if it would help. If you haven't read the Preamble you should. As a country we are so far off just from this simple document it's no wonder things are the way they are. We watched quite a few episodes from School House Rock last night and the kids thought it was great. There are a lot of lessons to be learned in those little cartoons.
